Overview

Internet Velocity is an Android app that shows real-time download and upload speed, usage history, per-app network usage insights, an optional floating speed overlay, ads, optional Google Play billing, and an optional local VPN-based app blocker. This policy explains how the app handles data and Android permissions.

Information stored on your device

Internet Velocity stores app preferences locally, including theme settings, speed unit preferences, monitoring options, selected ad reward state, purchase state, selected blocked apps, and local usage-history records.

Usage history and blocker settings are stored on your device using Android local storage. Internet Velocity does not operate its own server for these records.

Permissions and special access

Depending on which features you enable, Internet Velocity may request or rely on the following Android permissions or special access:

The app blocker uses Android VPN consent locally on the device. It is designed to control app network routing on the device and does not send your traffic to an Internet Velocity VPN server.

Ads, consent, and third-party services

Internet Velocity includes Google Mobile Ads and Google's User Messaging Platform. These services may process data such as device identifiers, ad request data, diagnostics, approximate location derived from network information, and ad interactions according to Google's own terms and privacy practices.

The app may show banner, native, interstitial, app-open, and rewarded ads. Rewarded ads may temporarily unlock selected in-app behavior, such as hiding a selected ad placement or enabling temporary blocker access while payments are not live.

Purchases

Internet Velocity includes Google Play Billing support for optional paid features. Payment information is processed by Google Play. Internet Velocity receives purchase status information from Google Play so that eligible features can be unlocked.

Data sharing

Internet Velocity does not sell personal data. Local settings, selected blocked apps, and local usage-history records stay on your device unless handled by Android system services or third-party SDKs you interact with. Google Mobile Ads, User Messaging Platform, Google Play Billing, Google Play in-app review, and Google Play app update services may process data according to Google's policies.

Your choices

You can disable optional features such as the floating overlay, app blocker, ads reward flow, monitoring options, boot behavior, and notifications inside the app or through Android system settings. You can revoke Android permissions and special access at any time, although doing so may limit related features.
